Archaeological research promoted by the Cultural Association El Patiaz has revealed one of the oldest and largest Islamic necropolises in Spain, located in Tauste (Zaragoza). This multidisciplinary project combines ancient DNA analysis, radiocarbon dating and paleodiet studies to deepen our understanding of early Islamic communities in the Ebro Valley between the 8th and 11th centuries.
